The manufacture of paper cups requires plastic resin, that is, PE resin material. Paper cup base paper and plastic resin particles PE itself have a balance of physical and mechanical properties, good cold resistance, water resistance, moisture resistance, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, reliable hygienic performance, and stable chemical properties. , A certain degree of oxygen resistance, good oil resistance, excellent formability, good heat sealing performance and other advantages. PE film with large production capacity has convenient source and low price, but it is not suitable for high-temperature cooking. If there are special performance requirements for paper cups, resins with corresponding properties should be selected when coating. After the base paper of the paper cup is sprayed with single-sided PE film or double-sided PE film, it becomes single-PE paper cup paper or double-PE paper cup paper.
Printability of paper cup materials:
1. The surface requirements of paper cup base paper. Directly printed paper cup base paper must have a certain surface strength (wax stick value 14A) to be able to print three-dimensionally to prevent lint and powder loss during printing. At the same time, the base paper of the paper cup must have a good surface fineness to ensure that the printed matter is evenly inked.
2. Surface treatment before printing, the base paper or base film surface to be printed should be clean, dry, smooth, free of dust and grease. For materials with dense and smooth surface such as non-polar PE, the surface tension value is only 29~31 Mn/m, so corona treatment is required before printing to change its surface state, and the surface tension value is increased to 40mN/m and 38 Mn/m, Only in this way can the ink achieve a certain adhesion fastness on the surface of the substrate.
After the corona treatment of the double-sided composite paper, the treatment effect of the PE film will decay exponentially with the prolongation of the storage time, and the decay speed is related to various factors such as the storage environment temperature, raw material grade, and film thickness. In general, the surface tension of thick films decreases faster than that of thin films. Therefore, policies and regulations are printed immediately after corona treatment to obtain good wetting and adhesion.
