The production and use of paper cups by paper cup machines are in line with national environmental protection policies. Replacing disposable plastic cups with paper cups reduces "white pollution". The convenience, hygiene and low price of paper cups are the key to replacing other utensils and occupying the market widely. Paper cups are divided into cold drink cups and hot drink cups according to their uses. In addition to meeting the needs of their packaging and processing performance, the materials of paper cups must also meet their printing adaptability. Among the many factors in printing technology, the conditions for heat sealing of paper cup processing must also be met.
The composition of paper cup materials produced by paper cup machines is that paper cup base paper is directly printed, die-cut, formed, and surface sprayed with food wax. The production process of hot drink cups is that paper cup base paper is laminated into paper cup paper, printed, die-cut, and formed. Paper cup base paper is composed of plant fibers. Its production process is generally to use coniferous wood, hardwood and other plant fibers through pulping pulp board after pulping, and then decomposition, pulping, adding chemical auxiliary materials, screening, paper machine papermaking, etc. The paper cup machine is composed of paper cup base paper and plastic resin particles extruded and compounded. The plastic resin generally uses polyethylene resin (PE). The paper cup base paper is coated with a single-sided PE film or a double-sided PE film to become a single PE paper cup paper or a double PE paper cup paper.
PE is non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless; has reliable hygienic properties; stable chemical properties; balanced physical and mechanical properties, good cold resistance; water resistance, moisture resistance, and certain oxygen and oil resistance; excellent molding properties and good heat sealing properties. PE has a large production volume, convenient sources, and low prices, but it is not suitable for high-temperature cooking. If the paper cup has special performance requirements, a plastic resin with corresponding properties should be selected during coating.
